Vancouver Salt Building 2010 Olympics
Built in 1930, the VSB is located in False Creek Vancouver BC.
In 2008 team ocean was once again called upon by Haebler Construction to restore 13,000 sq ft of open timber frame ceiling structure, removing decades of staining and restoring it back to new.
The building underwent a restoration in the lead up to the 2010 winter Olympic games. Dubbed "the athletes living room", it was used as a hangout relaxation area for the athletes.
The Salt Building has won a number of prestigious awards including The Canadian Wood Council Wood Work Breen Building Award and the Canadian Institute of Planners award for Planning Excellence.
When the restorations were complete, Prince Charles and Camilla cut the ribbon to officially open the landmark.
It is currently used for waterfront dining and owned by the city of Vancouver
